Guler Delivers for Cuba City

National Postal Workers Day is the perfect time to share this photograph of Cuba City's first woman mail carrier, Ava Guler. Guler submitted this 1965 image for publication in Faces & Places of Grant County (Woodward Communications, 2000). According to the caption, she walked seven miles in 2 1/2 hours while delivering mail to Cuba City residents.

Ava Guler retired from the Cuba City Post Office in 1985, after 27 years of service.
