Cuba Jottings

Before there was Historical Jottings, there was Cuba Jottings! This piece from a Cuba City correspondent was published in Platteville's Grant County Witness on October 6, 1897. 

 

Two of the buildings mentioned can be identified. In 1897, Florine's drugstore was located where Nick's Cafe is today. The Fair Store was located beside it (now, the Junque Stops Here).
