Hen Medic : Dr. Mildred Stone in Cuba City

Yesterday was National Women Physicians Day, and some may remember Dr. Mildred M. Stone, who served as a general practitioner and allergist at the Cuba City Medical Center from 1961 until her retirement in 1984.

Dr. Stone received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1938. This is the cover of her autobiography, Hen Medic: 50 Years in Medicine, which was published in 1989. If you haven't read it, it might be available through your local library (the Cuba City Public Library has a copy!).
