Kodak as You Go

On this day in 1888, George Eastman received the trademark for the Kodak name, as well as the patent for his roll-film camera, which allowed amateur photographers to capture images and send the entire camera back to the factory for processing.

Harry Andrew's Gem Studio carried Kodak products in Cuba City in the 1920s. The Gem was originally located behind the Northwestern Hotel, which was where Mound City Bank is today. The business was later moved to 111 S. Main, currently the southern addition to the Dead End Bar & Grill.
