When it rains...

August is here, and we could still use more rain. But, maybe not this much? This photo was taken forty years ago, when heavy downpours resulted in flash flooding across much of the upper Midwest on the afternoon of August 14, 1981. We are looking at South Main Street, facing what is the Thompsons' IGA parking lot today.
