Tree Enthusiasts
Today is Arbor Day, and early Cuba City residents, as well as town founders John Stephens, Solomon
Craiglow, and Madison Y. Johnson, shared a fondness of trees. According to the centennial history, "by the turn of the [20th] century, Cuba City had tree shaded streets that made the town a pleasant place to live in and look at. Stephens, Craiglow, and Johnson provided one city block for a city park and by the 1920's it was full of large beautiful trees."
