Cuba City's Modern New Hospital

On February 6, 1954, a series of photos taken at Cuba City's new hospital were published in the Wisconsin State Journal.

The newspaper had this to say:
18-bed Hospital is Modern—Inside and Out

Cuba City Has Reason to Be Proud of Its Clinic

The little town of Cuba City (population 1,500) in Grant County is quite proud of its new hospital and clinic opened last November by a group of doctors.

The 18-bed unit has oxygen piped into each room, surgery and x-ray rooms, and all other modern equipment for patients and staff. It even has its own anesthetist.

Built on one floor, it is simple in design with a brick exterior and a spotless tile and plaster interior.

The wonderful photographs in the article, taken by Edwin Stein, are available to view on the Wisconsin Historical Society's website.
