First Methodist Episcopal Church of Cuba City
Cuba City's Methodist Episcopal Church (known today as the United Methodist Church) was built in the fall of 1885, on the northwest corner of Main and Yuba Streets (where Lori Droessler Real Estate is now located).
It was dedicated on November 29, 2021 by the Rev. Goodsell, of Platteville. After mentioning the dedication, a Cuba City correspondent to the Grant County Witness remarked: "We now have a beautiful church absolutely complete, with bell, carpet and organ, free of debt, a good preacher and a well pleased and united neighborhood" (December 3, 1885).
The Methodist Church was later moved south across Yuba Street to its present location in 1929.
